Board certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology, Dr. Rentschler was Chief of Oncology/Hematology at Beaver Medical Group in Redlands, California, until September, 2005. Prior to that, he was a full-time faculty member in Medical Oncology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine (from 1976 to 1990). While practicing at Beaver Medical Group (from 1990 to 2005) he was on the governing board 8 years, and was President of the group for two years. Now semi-retired, one of Dr. Rentschler’s responsibilities is leading Beaver Medical Group’s ongoing effort to recruit new physicians to the practice. Dr. Rentschler has won numerous awards and published over twenty-five original, peer-reviewed publications and abstracts.
