Establishing the efficacy of new technologies is an essential step towards improving the real value of the health care services delivered to the public. CTAF is making important contributions to the growing field of evidence-based care, helping to determine when new technologies truly improve health outcomes and patient safety.

Current Occupation:
Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior
Division Director and Training Director in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Medical Director of UCI's Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit
Medical Director for the FOCUS program, which provides services to sexually abused children

Education:
Creighton University Medical School in Omaha
General psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Creighton University

American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Related Activities:
Dr. Fernandez also runs a Neurobehavioral multidisciplinary clinic that specializes in treatment of individuals with Autism and Mental Retardation.
